Whitemyer Executives Speak to AEM Executives in Las Vegas Whitemyer Advertising executives, experienced in global marketing communications strategies, were featured speakers at the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) Meeting on May 18 and 19 in Las Vegas. Speaking on the topic “Integrated Communications for Businesses" were Tom Simmelink, agency president, and Lisa Geers, vice president of interactive media.

They addressed the importance of using a focused, cohesive strategy for effective brand positioning, sales lead generation, customer retention and market awareness. To accomplish those goals, they showed how to effectively integrate traditional marketing communications tools such as trade media, publicity and direct mail with contemporary options in e-mail marketing, web sites and “social media.”

While examining the options and advantages of various media – both individually and as a unit – Simmelink and Geers presented examples of how the agency cost-efficiently produced positive results nationally and internationally for Gradall and Vacall brand machines, both manufactured by Gradall Industries, Inc., in New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Also presented were components of a coordinated, promotional campaign for Seaman Corporation, manufacturer of a range of industrial fabrics under the FiberTite, ShelterRite, XR Technology, XR-Mariner and other brand names with plants in Wooster, Ohio, and Bristol, Tennessee.

The Whitemyer executives further presented an analysis of an AEM survey conducted among various people in the markets served by the association, comprised of major manufactures of equipment. The AEM meeting’s agenda focused on planning for next year’s ConExpo-Con/Agg trade show, expected to draw well over 100,000 people from around the world.

As a result of the presentation, Simmelink and Geers have been asked to prepare a similar presentation this summer for an individual company’s sales and marketing staff in Alabama.
