Paragraphics

It was with great professional and personal pleasure that we accepted the invitation from one of our suppliers -- Paragraphics Inc. -- to help brainstorm a way to merchandise the company's 30th year as a major source of printing in the eastern half of Ohio. After all, Paragraphics is no stranger to the capabilities of all of the advertising agencies in the region, so we took the invitation as a compliment.

The "big idea" was to build an event around 30 years of another medium ... television. Through the use of creative invitation designs, we could actually showcase some of Paragraphics' unique printing capabilities, starting with a dimensional mailer that resembled a television remote control, announcing the event and asking people to register at a special web page we created.

From information collected on the web page, a second invitation went out that resembled an issue of TV Guide, containing personal information from each invitee that demonstrated Paragraphics' custom-printing capabilities integrating databases. The event itself continued to carry the theme: attendees were photographed with "Daisy Duke" next to a life size "General Lee" automobile, receiving a quick-output print.

"We were extremely pleased with the awareness we achieved for our company and some of our new, more contemporary capabilities," said Scott Bosworth, the company's president. "We could have had a seminar and refreshments, but this made a much greater, long-lasting impact on our existing and prospective customers."
