Union Hospital Websites
The Union Hospital web strategy involves individual focuses on two key reasons people search the web -- for health information and for jobs. To accommodate that, and connect people with their field of interest as efficiently as possible, we created three separate sites for the hospital.
The primary site www.unionhospital.org provides an overview of all facets of the hospital including breaking news, a physician directory, information about various departments and services and a link to a health information database. Because the hospital is growing rapidly, and hiring several people each month, we established a dedicated human resources site www.uhcareers.com featuring current openings, general information about jobs in health care and the ability to submit resumes.
And finally, to support the hospital's keen interest in recruiting quality physicians to the area, we launched www.uhdoctors.com. We know that physicians looking to establish new practices do a lot of research on the web, and our search-engine-friendly site is designed to whet their appetites with information about hospital procedures and activity, current physician needs and regional quality of life advantages.
Each of the sites has been promoted with a unifying "bookmark it" print and broadcast media ad campaign. And each continues to be highly successful because each site's content remains tightly focused on narrow fields of interest an effective strategy once thought to be affordable only for major retail advertisers, but in fact, now very practical for conservative budgets, too.
